About the Author
Dorian G. Garrick teaches at Iowa State University.

Anatoly Ruvinsky Since graduation from Novosibirsk State University (Russia) in 1969, A. Ruvinsky has been working in several fields of genetics for more than 40 years. He received his PhD in 1974 and Dr.Sc. in 1985. In 1986, Ruvinsky was elected as head of laboratory of animal genetics and 1988 as Vice Director of the Institute of Cytology and Genetics of Russian Academy of Sciences. In 1993, he joined the University of New England, Australia. Professor Ruvinsky published more than 100 refereed papers in leading genetic journals and edited 11 books so far. This includes the series of books on mammalian genetics, which currently undergoes 2nd edition. His most recent book, Genetics and Randomness, was published in 2009.

About the Author
Gerald Brosseau Gardner (author and amateur archaeologist and anthropologist) was born in 1884, at Blundellsands, Lancashire, to an upper middle class family. Much of his childhood was spent abroad in Madeira, (a Portuguese archipelago). In 1900 he moved to colonial Ceylon, (now Sri Lanka), and in 1911 to Malaya where he worked as a civil servant. While there he developed an interest in the native peoples and wrote papers and a book about their magical practices. After retiring in 1936, he settled in New Forest, (the south of England) and joined the occult group, the Rosicrucian Order Crotona Fellowship, through which he claimed to have encountered the New Forest coven into which he was initiated. He believed the coven to be a survival of the pre-Christian Witch-Cults as described in the works of Margaret Murray. He decided to revive the Old Faith, adding to the Coven's rituals ideas borrowed from Freemasonry, ceremonial magic and the writings of Aleister Crowley. From this he formed the Gardnerian tradition of Wicca. He was known by the craft name of Scire. He died in 1964.

The Book is a Lie

I wish I could award zero stars. This is just a conglomeration of materials that have been freely available on the internet for years. Some of it actually is from Gardner's notes and research, but isn't any more a part of the Gardnerian Book of Shadows than a table of Zodiac signs or a picture of a fairy.

Great, Positive Book on Autism

I have enjoyed this book, which reads like a conversation among authors Matt & Nedi Safa, and the reader. I like how open and honest it is with everything it discusses, while always maintaining an overall positive sense about it. I would recommend it to others on the autism spectrum, as well as to parents of autistic children, and anyone who would like to gain the kinds of insights into autism that only an individual who has lived the path of having autism can offer.

Great for records management

Very practical and to the point, this book helped me immensely as a new corporate librarian. Whereas many SharePoint books are massive and try to cover every aspect of a SharePoint user's tasks, this book is very focused on practical, day-to-day activities. It's great for those new to the Records Center, and I still found myself consulting it for advice several weeks into my training.

I have had the displeausre to read bits and pieces of this rag. Rick Jones is right about one thing, there is a well planned destruction of teens; he and the rest of his kind are the ones doing it. This book is further proof that it's not D&D and heavy metal that is ruining teens; it's fundamentalists. If Satan is the father of all lies, then that makes Jones Satan, because this book is nothing but lies and slander.

This book is the most utter waste of paper ever. It is written from a single view point which is limited in knowledge. The problem with this book is that people are just trying to pinpoint one thing for the teenagers troubles, but in fact the biggest problem would be lack of understanding on the part of people such as the author. How is it that one can blame a game such as Dungeons & Dragons for something like this when no other report has ever been made which is even the least bit similar to this. DO NOT read this book if you have more than a pea for a brain.

Rick Jones is insane. Not in an entertaining, ingenius, or literally individual way. He's a lunatic.
Clearly, the purpose of his book is to abuse his religion viciously to reshape and refit society as his disgusting, self-righteous and primitively literalistic mind sees fit. Mark my words: Do NOT buy this book. I promise you if you are a person even slightly unique or a whole-hearted noncomplying individual, Rick will call you a satanist and proceed to offend you in every way imaginable.
(...) He blatantly claims that teenagers who play DnD are mass-murderers who worship satan and allow this game to take over their lives. Now, I'm an aggressive catholic who just got home now from finishing setting up the nativity scene for my parish on my own free time. I've also been playing DnD for several years almost every day after school. (Nothing else to do 'till the train comes...) Because of this, by Rick's perspective, I am automatically insane, evil and satanistic. I am greatly offended personally, needless to say. (...).
Rick Jones is a man who proves that ignorant people are dangerous when given the power of communication. He needs help.

It's interesting, this thing called energy

I bought the book about a year ago however I have been reading it very slowly. I do like the vibe however I have been resistant to it. One day I wrote to Dr Lee Vickers, and he responded with a mpg of the whole book so I can hear it via audio. That has made it real easy for me to do the morning meditation. Even today it takes a lot of discipline for me to do his meditation however once I do...the result is always good. And I mean really good. I am now starting daily to do it in some form. It's all good. Thanks Silvia NY
