The Adolescent: Development, Relationships and Culture

I have used this book as a supplemnent to taking a graduate level Adolescent psychology class. I also use this text to cover information not in an introductory or developmenatal psychology text in my classes. It's current (2011), and has a lot of valuable information to share with undergraduates as most of my students are emerging from adolencents to young adulthood, and this text supplements their reading and understanding of their development, forming relationships, and bringing into context the role of culture. Recommend.

I thought this was supposed to be about adolescents... not FOR them!

I really didn't care for this textbook. If you're a professor or instructor, PLEASE spare yourself and students the time and expense of using this text for your course. It seems to be written in a really simplistic manner, missing the mark on SEVERAL subjects. In my opinion, the author sounds like they need about 15 years of real-world experience before ever sitting down to write anything again!!
